TNA Mode

info

Access level 3 or above is required to change the TNA mode.

The TNA Mode tab allows you to configure how the TNA handles alarms and transmissions under different operational scenarios. This feature is used for initial setup, testing, and maintenance operations.

The TNA has four modes: Commissioning, Commissioning Test, Active, and Test.

Commissioning Mode

TNA Commissioning Mode

Commissioning mode is the default mode when a TNA is first delivered. In this mode, alarms are suppressed. Once the installer completes wiring and necessary configurations, they can proceed to the commissioning test mode or to the active mode.

Before switching to the active mode, access level passwords must be set. If they are not configured, switching to the active mode will not be possible. Each access level defines what configurations the user can perform on the TNA:

Access Level
Permissions
Access Level 1Access to functions, indications and notifications without authentication
Access Level 2Access to information through the operation mode and simple function tests
Access Level 3Access to commissioning and maintenance functions
Access Level 4Access to software updates and device actions

Commissioning Test Mode

TNA Commissioning Test Mode

Commissioning Test mode is used for an initial readiness test after the configuration is done in the commissioning mode. It is a temporary mode with reduced connection monitor intervals of 5 seconds. The reduced period helps to detect connection issues as soon as possible. Additional features, such as actor switching are available.

A timer starts automatically when the commissioning test mode is activated. If no switch occurs to either commissioning or active modes within 8 hours, the TNA will return to the commissioning mode.

Switching to the commissioning test mode is optional, and users can transition directly from the commissioning mode to the active mode. Once the device is in the active mode, switching back to the commissioning mode is not possible.

Active Mode

TNA Active Mode

Active mode is the standard operational mode of the TNA, with normal connection monitor intervals of 60 seconds. In this mode, alarm transmission is enabled and the TNA is fully operational.

Once in active mode, the TNA can only switch to the test mode. Returning to commissioning or commissioning test modes is not allowed.

Test Mode

TNA Test Mode

Test mode is a temporary state with the connection monitor interval reduction to 5 seconds. Actor switching is available, and alarms continue to be sent. After 8 hours, the device automatically reverts to its previous state.
