EN 50136-1:2012 Standard and Swiss Requirements
Maximum Reporting Times According to EN 50136-1:2012
The table provides an excerpt from the EN 50136-1:2012 standard and the A1:2018 addition to it.
The majority of predefined SLA options that a user can select for a virtual receiver are based on the categories set in this standard and the maximum reporting time limits defined for these categories.
SP stands for single-path, DP stands for dual-path transmitters. ATP stands for alarm transmission path.
Maximum Reporting Times for Single-Path Transmitters
Limit name in the standard | Control interval name | SP2 category | SP3 category | SP4 category |
---|---|---|---|---|
Primary ATP Failure. Reporting time | Path reporting time | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 30 min (1800 sec) | 3 min (180 sec) |
Failure of all ATPs at the same time | Site reporting time (for SP, equals to the path failure reporting time) | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 30 min (1800 sec) | 3 min (180 sec) |
Maximum Reporting Times for Dual-Path Transmitters
Limit name in the standard | Control interval name | DP1 category | DP2 category | DP3 category | DP4 category |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Primary ATP Failure. Reporting time | Primary path reporting time | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 30 min (1 800 sec) | 3 min (180 sec) | 90 sec |
Alternative ATP Failure. Maximum period when primary operational | Secondary path reporting time | 50 hr (180 000 sec) | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 5 hr (18 000 sec) |
Alternative ATP Failure. Maximum period when primary failed | SecToPrim reporting time | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 30 min (1 800 sec) | 3 min (180 sec) | 90 sec |
Failure of all ATPs at the same time | Site reporting time | 25 hr (90 000 sec) | 31 min (1 860 sec) | 4 min (240 sec) | 3 min (180 sec) |
Maximum Reporting Times Specific for Switzerland
The limits below are generally based on the values of the EN 50136-1:2012.
In Switzerland, additional requirements apply: the primary path / site reporting times must not be larger than 24 hours. Other values are set according to evalink talos common practices.
Maximum reporting times for single and dual-path transmitters | DP1 Sitasys option | SP2 eth / gprs Sitasys option |
---|---|---|
Primary path reporting time | 23 hr (82 800 sec) | 23 h |
Secondary path reporting time | 48 hr (172 800 sec) | – |
